Aida’s Recipe No -Knead Bread

 

 

No Knead Bread“I can remember my grandmother making this bread in her special pot when I was a little girl. Today I’m using her recipe and her pot to bring you this tasty, easy to make No -Knead Bread . My grandmother used to call it the bread that takes care of you , you don’t take care of it . Enjoy  !”

Aida 

Ingredients 

Makes 1 loaf

3 cups bread flour
3/4 teaspoon regular yeast (not instant)
1 1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups water

Directions 

Mix all the ingredients for about 3 minutes until a gloopy dough forms.  Cover with a towel and put in a warm place, such as an airing cupboard. Leave for 6-8 hours to proof.

Oil a baking tray and turn your dough onto the tray. Shape into a ball and oil the top. Cover with a towel and leave to rest for around one hour.

In the meantime, turn your oven to 190 C .

Place a Dutch oven or heavy bottomed pan in the oven to heat.  After your dough has rested, carefully place it in the hot pan and cover.

Bake for 30 minutes. Uncover the pan and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown at the top.
